Happy shopping mommies!
During my first year of serious blogging, I feel so blessed that I was able to collaborate with some brands, be able to attend events and gain new friends as well. I am able to influence few people just by merely reading from the day-to-day accounts of my life. That’s what makes my blogging really worthwhile. But I do intend to keep my blogging system and influence more people for as long as I can and as long as I have to share (that would be a lot). But as a blogger I also need to think outside of the box. I am glad that there are ways that we can bring business to our blogs through Blogapalooza. Since I am a noob in this industry, I made my research as to what and how this thing works. Thanks to Vince of When in Manila and Anton of Our Awesome Planet who made all these things possible and also to my good Chaynee for telling me to sign up for the event too!

Excited I was despite the hullabaloos happened that day, I was able to survive and made my way through the event. What happened? I went home accomplished.

When I arrived at the event, the place was already full of bloggers roaming around each of the booths there. I too, went on and tried on some of the products they’re offering.

My first stop was the grab taxi since it was near the entrance of the event and before my memory banks expires to claim my cashback for the cab fare. Thank you Grabtaxi! My experience with Grab taxi will be on a separate post. They also gave out four vouchers worth p50 each and a waived pick up fee from the event.

Then Chaynee and I tried to answer the mind-bugging question from the The Mind Museum, but unfortunately our minds weren’t in the right track that time so we didn’t win a prize but we got to take home a token.

Next stop is a little caffeine boost. You know how much I love coffee right? Mind you I had triple dose of caffeine that day but I didn’t regret any of it because all of it were significantly delish! Next stop is the Plato Wraps booth which has a long queue. As far as I can remember it was my favorite to-go snack few years back. I specifically like their tuna wrap, which is my favorite! Now I get to take home a box of treat, which I wasn’t able to take a photo because dear Lover enjoyed it already. And mind you, he loved it! Adjacent booth offered another sweet treat, which is the Gavino’s donut. They specialize in chewy donuts, which I can say was definitely “love at first bite.” I would add them to my favorite lists of my guilty pleasure.

There were also lots of giveaways during the event and prizes were given almost each hour. Of course you have to connect through your social media using a strong connection which was powered by PLDT so everyone gets a chance to win an awesome prize.

Speaker Ana Santos
Next booth was the Richwell Trading, which offers a wide variety of kids apparel as well as toys. I know that as a mom this will be one of my favorite booth. I get to take home tokens for my kids too.

While we were enjoying our lunch, the speaker Ana Santos caught my attention. I liked her in an instant. She was a strong willed woman and driven with positive thoughts. She was a living proof that in this blogging world, dedication should be coupled with hard work in order to succeed in your chosen path and we need to explore all possibilities and opportunities that lies ahead.

Tokens I get to take home from the event

That caps my Blogaplooza experience. Looking forward for another fun event next year.
More than three years ago, I can vividly recall the moment when I saw two lines from my pregnancy kit. I was quite skeptical at first because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. At that moment I knew that I was blessed. But it didn’t spare me from having a mixture of emotions from exhilaration to anxiety. Sometimes I can be bipolar but I didn’t know that it could be worse as the day goes by.

When I announced the new stage I was going through to my family, it was a mixture of should I say unsolicited comments and advices. Some I could say are healthy but the rest are plainly trying to give me a heart attack. Why? Well instead of me having a worry free pregnancy, it gave me a lot of anxiety to say the least.

Here are some of my few pointers for first time moms:
  • Visit a trusted OB Gyne for monthly check ups. When I say trusted, it should be a physician you are comfortable with. Make sure you that your chosen OB will always be available to answer your questions.
  • If in doubt ask your OB. You will hear tons of myths from family, relatives and friends that will drive you nuts. The best person who can answer this is no other than your OB. Again make sure your OB is approachable.
  • Ensure a balanced diet. You should ensure that you are eating proper amount of each food. I admit that sometimes I do cheat on my food and eat unhealthy ones but I make sure I set my limits.
  • Take medicines accordingly. Prescribed medicines should be taken in order for both the parent and the baby to be properly nourished.
  • Keep yourself educated. Read books on pregnancy and explore options on how you want to give birth.
  • Get enough rest and exercise. Rest and exercise is very important to pregnant mothers. It also promotes fast recovery to pre-pregnant body after giving birth. But make sure activities that are tolerated and per doctors advise. Make sure also that you are well hydrated.
  • Stay positive. Having a good outlook in life makes pregnancy worthwhile and creates a happy moment for both the parents as well as the baby. Connect with other pregnant women so you can share notes with them.

To know more how you should prepare for your pregnancy, you may attend the talk that will be rendered at the Baby and Family Expo event by The Medical City. See you all there!

Hello there mommies! Sorry for hibernating for the past days and I have been posting only Press Releases from my blog partners. Anyway before I post all my pending blog posts, I would like to make a little introduction as to why I am mentally and physically exhausted the past days.

Don’t worry I won’t spread nega vibes here but I will share a little something of my kids. I am now in really deep trouble but not really trouble but trouble with my parenting. I know it can be confusing but I am as well confused sometimes so please bear with me.

Since my little girl is about to grace her way to toddler stage she has become a handful. The extent can be immeasurable but I tell you she complains a lot and a lot more handful than Dodo when he was her age. On the other hand, she tries to be independent most of the time too. She eats on her own but with a catch. She decorates her face with the rice from her plate and uses her food bowl as a hat. How cool is that? So it would mean I need to triple my time to finish cleaning the house before they can get cranky again. Mind you, it means non-stop cleaning and battle with them. They also stimulate each other’s hyperactivity so I can’t point out really as to whom is the culprit. But on the other hand, no matter how terrible my day has always been, they have their way on showing me how precious they can be. They randomly shower me with kisses and hug me more so often.

My little girl also on the other hand is trying to utter words, which surprisingly makes sense already. There was one moment when I asked her to go out of he CR because we were already done with bedtime bath but it seems she still wants to enjoy the water. You know what she told me? “No! Go out! Goodbye!” J and I were both shocked because it was loud and clear. She can also say, “tityu (thank you)” and calls me whenever she needs me.

My little boy can now speak in complete sentence and his vocabulary is also improving. He can also choose the right words to describe some things. He also became more assertive and translates to us what her sister is trying to say. I don’t know how he understands A but maybe because he once was in “that” stage.

By the way, there was a moment when I try to question why my little girl likes taking off her clothes, thanks to smart parenting for answering my question. "Babies are born that way and they feel good going natural." And also with the food constantly falling from the floor and face always being decorated with her food means "babies are curious and they are trying to get our attention too."

That’s all for now. I will keep you updated with my fond moments with my kiddos.
